Aaron Paul and Michael C. Hall giggling about that time Dexter danced to MC Hammer (x)

And bonus reaction gif:

I found early on that I couldn’t think too hard about that [acting within acting], or my brain would just sort of tie itself in knots. The sense of someone who isn’t capable of authenticity, your’e acting, you’re cultivating some sort of authenticity for yourself, and to whoever’s watching it, and you just kind of like spiral…… So I just didn’t really think about it much.

It requires an imaginative leap ultimately, unless you’re willing to kill people. But I’m not compelled to kill people! So even if I were to kill people, I wouldn’t really know what it feels like to him, so I gotta think about what I’m compelled to do, and do that.

In what ways are you similar to Dexter? (x)

“When was the first time a fan called you Dexter?”

Jimmy: ‘Cause you’re a cop…
Michael : Right.
Jimmy: But also, you murder people. [To the audience] If you haven’t seen the show, he murders people.
Michael: Bad people.
Jimmy: Bad people. Whoever’s bad, he just murders them.
Michael: Yeah.
Jimmy: It’s like case… case closed.
Michael: It’s fantastic. It’s cathartic, you know? People say, “does it creep you out when you do those scenes?” And actually, those are the scenes where I really leave just, you know, like walking on air.

Michael C. Hall: I like olives.
